Removing and installing gas tank valve -N495-
Removing
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1332-
  W00-0428
t  22 mm tool insert -V.A.G 1332/12-
Carry out the following work:
  W00-1125
–  Release latch -1- and remove protective cover -2-.
–  Emptying the Autogas tank → Chapter
  WARNING
There is a danger of injury due to escaping gas.
The system is pressurised.
Wear suitable protection such as eye protection and protective gloves.
Before opening the system place a cloth around the connection. Then release pressure by carefully loosening the connection.
–  Detach connector and gas line from gas tank valve -N495-.
–  Mark installation position of gas tank valve -N495-.

–  Remove frame -1- for protective cover.
–  Unscrew gas tank valve -N495-.
Installing
–  Apply a coating of sealing paste -JNV 133 155- to thread of gas tank valve -N495- and then insert.
Then tighten further as far as marking to specified torque of 90 Nm.
