Removing and installing fuel tank (Autogas)
Removing and installing fuel tank (Autogas)
Removing
Carry out the following work:
   
–  Release latch -1- and remove protective cover -2-.
–  Emptying the Autogas tank → Chapter
  N01-10928
–  Remove bolts -1- (10 Nm) for cover.
  WARNING
There is a danger of injury due to escaping gas.
The system is pressurised.
Wear suitable protection such as eye protection and protective gloves.
Before opening the system place a cloth around the connection. Then release pressure by carefully loosening the connection.

–  Detach gas lines -1 and 2- from fuel tank.
–  Remove nut -3-.
–  Detach connectors from gas tank valve -N495- and gas gauge sender -G707-.

–  Remove bolts -arrows-.
–  Lift fuel tank out.
Installing
–  Insert and align fuel tank.
  N20-10717
–  Tighten bolts -arrows- to 20 Nm.
  N20-10717
–  Tighten nut -3- to 10 Nm.
–  Tighten union nuts -1- to 32 Nm and -2- to 23 Nm.
  N20-10784
–  Tighten bolts -1- (10 Nm) for cover.
Further assembly is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
