Renewing dipped beam and main beam bulb
Renewing dipped beam and main beam bulb
Removing:
–  Switch off ignition and all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.
–  Remove headlight → Chapter.
  Note
t  The following illustrations show how to change the dipped beam bulb for the left headlight.
t  Renewing left headlight twin filament bulb -L1- and right headlight twin filament bulb -L2- is similar.
   
–  Open retaining clip -1- and remove cover cap -2-.

–  Disconnect connector -1- from left headlight twin filament bulb -L1-.

–  Release retaining spring of left headlight twin filament bulb -L1--2- and remove left headlight twin filament bulb -L1--1- from headlight.
Installing:
  Note
Do not touch bulb glass when fitting bulbs. Fingers leave traces of grease on the glass, which evaporate when the bulb is switched on and cause the glass to cloud over.
  Caution
When installing cover cap, ensure cap is seated correctly. The ingress of water will lead to permanent damage to the headlight.
