Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1410-
  Note
t  There is no requirement to disconnect the battery earth strap.
t  The illustrations show removal and installation of the left headlight.
t  The removal and installation of the right headlight follows the same principle.
t  If a headlight is removed, it should always be adjusted following installation: „Maintenance manual“ → Booklet.
–  Switch off ignition and all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.
–  Protect bumper cover from damage with commercially available adhesive tape.

–  Release multi-pin connector -arrow- and disconnect.

–  Remove securing bolts -2- and push headlight forwards out of lower fastenings.
–  Remove headlight forwards from body aperture.
