Removing and installing windscreen washer reservoir
Removing and installing windscreen washer reservoir
Removing:
–  Switch off ignition and all electrical loads, and pull out ignition key.
–  Remove front bumper cover → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.63.
–  Remove right wheel housing liner → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.66.
   
–  Disconnect connector -2-.
  Note
Collect any escaping washer fluid in a suitable container.
–  To release, pull hose lock -3- and -5- up at hose connections and pull these off windscreen and rear window washer pump -V59--4-.
–  Pull windscreen and rear window washer pump -V59--4- upwards out of reservoir -1-.

–  Remove wiring harness from fastening -arrow- on washer fluid reservoir.

–  Pull clamping washer -2- off windscreen washer reservoir plug -1-.

–  Unclip filler neck from hose holder -1-.

–  Unscrew securing nuts -arrows- from reservoir and remove reservoir with filler neck from vehicle.
Installing:
  Caution
During installation, fit clamping washer onto windscreen washer reservoir plug. Otherwise, the windscreen washer reservoir could become loose and fall off.
  Note
The connections at the pump and hoses are colour-coded to prevent incorrect connection of the washer fluid lines to the windscreen and rear window washer pump -V59-. The hose fittings must be connected to the correct colour-coded pump connections during installation.
Install in the reverse order of removal. When doing this, note the following:
–  Tighten all threaded connections to specified torques → Chapter.
–  Fit clamping washer onto windscreen washer reservoir plug.
