| Carry out procedure in sequence as follows: |
WARNING | It is not permissible to test or charge batteries whose colour indicator is light yellow. Do not slave/jump start the vehicle! |
| Danger of explosion when checking and charging or slave/jump starting. |
| These batteries must be renewed. |

Note | Battery tester with printer -VAS 5097 A- will shortly be replaced by battery tester with printer -VAS 6161- for the warranty test. |

| Perform a battery load test using battery tester with printer -VAS 5097 A- → Chapter. |

| Battery test with battery tester with printer -VAS 6161- → Chapter. |
| 4.
| Depending on the result of the battery test, „perform current draw test“ → Chapter. |
