For 1983-84, the Scirocco and Quantum are available with electric power mirrors. If a mirror lens is missing or broken, the mirror assembly need not be
replaced.. Mirror lenses are available for replacement, Part No. 321 857 521 /522 A, and can be installed as follows:

Removal and installation can be performed by use of a slot located on the underside of the mirror housing.

press inward at bottom of mirror lens

-

place screwdriver through slot and into notch in plastic lock ring behind glass lens

-

hold mirror and turn lock ring counterclockwise with screwdriver

-

unplug electrical leads and remove mirror lens from housing
