when installing new flywheel, cut ignition timing mark notch into flywheel distance a to left of TDC mark 0 (see illustration)

^ a = 12 mm (0.472 inch)

Quantum

when installing new flywheel, cut ignition timing mark notch into flywheel distance a to left of TDC mark 0 (see illustration)

^ a = 14 mm (0.551 inch)

Idle Stabilizer, Checking

^ 1 = idle stabilizer

^ 2 = Hall control unit

^ 3 = plug connectors

Note:

If engine is hard to start and stalls, check for possible problem in idle stabilization system as follows

pull plugs 3 out of idle stabilizer 1

check pins and sockets for corrosion and damage
