DSG Oil and Filter, Changing and Adjusting Oil Level - 02E, 6 Speed DSG A/T AWD

Short description

First, oil temperature is read out. If it is higher than 50°C, allow transmission to cool. Then, with engine standing, overflow tube is removed and oil is
drained. Then overflow tube is reinstalled and transmission overfilled, engine started and excess oil drained off until oil level has reached overflow
tube.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051B or subsequent unit

or

Vehicle Diagnosis and Service System VAS 5052

Adapter for oil filling VAS 6262

^

Old oil collecting and extracting device V.A.G 1782 or

^

Drip tray for VAS 6100 VAS 6208

^

Torque wrench V.A.G 1331

Requirements

Engine off

^

Vehicle in horizontal position, all hoist supports at same height.

^

Noise insulation is removed if necessary

^

Selector level at "P"

^

The Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051B or Vehicle Diagnosis and Service System VAS 5052 is connected.

To begin working, the oil temperature should not be higher than 50°C.

Up to transmission production date "September 20, 2004", transmissions with two bolts were installed.

It is important to not switch the bolts. To change the oil, only remove -A-, which is near the pendulum support.

Transmissions that were built after September 20, 2004 only have the -A- bolt.

Always replace the sealing ring -arrow-.
