Shift Cable: Removal and Replacement

Selector Lever Cable - 02E, 6 Speed DSG A/T AWD

Note: After installing, check cable for ease of movement and adjust.

Removing

-

Place selector lever in "S".

-

Loosen adjustment screw -arrow-.

Remove the lock washers -A- and -B-. They must be replaced later when adjusting the cable.

Raise the vehicle.

-

Remove the heat shield and parts of the exhaust system, if necessary.

-

Remove the heat shield.

-

Remove selector housing under selector lever.

-

To remove the cable, press the pins up with a screwdriver

-

At the same time, press the securing tab that is securing the pins forward -arrows-.

-

Remove the bracket lock washer. Always replace the lock washer.
