Secure the driveshaft against falling down with the strap from the universal transmission adapter VAG 1359/2.

-

Check whether there is a marking (colored dot) on the driveshaft and rear final drive flange -arrows-.

-

If not, mark the position of the driveshaft flexible disc and flange on the rear final drive -arrows-.

-

Remove the rear driveshaft with the flexible disc and vibration damper from the final drive -arrows-.

-

Carefully remove rear driveshaft tube from flange centering pins on final drive.

Note:

Do not cant driveshaft when removing, pull off from centering pin in horizontal position. Sealing ring in centering bushing -arrow- must not be
damaged.

^

Flexible disc and vibration dampener cannot be separated from each other.

-

Identify location of rear flexible disc and flange from rear driveshaft tube to each other.
