Transmission Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

Transmission Input Speed Sensor and Clutch Oil Temperature Sensor - 02E, 6 Speed DSG A/T AWD

Short description

Both sensors are combined into one component and can only be replaced together. They are located in the transmission in the vicinity of the
multi-plate clutch. Before removing, the Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Mechatronic J743 must be removed.

Do not pull on transmission cable because it will be damaged and will have to be replaced.

Removing

-

Remove the Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Mechatronic J743.

Do not pull on wire!

Remove bolt and remove carefully pry the sensor out with a screwdriver or pliers.

Installing

Only install old sensor if:

The sensor is not malfunctioning

The sensor wiring was not pulled during removal.

Otherwise, install a new sensor.

Insert the sensor coated with DSG oil.

Tighten the bolt to 10 Nm.

Install Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Mechatronic J743.
