A universal door aligning tool is available for adjusting door hinges. The tool consists of two pins with M 8, M 10 and M 12 threads and a length of
tubing.

This tool, No. 3114, is used to align most upper and lower hinges of front and rear doors..

The following procedure describes the use of this tool.
Door hinges, adjusting

-

remove clamping washer and pin from door check strap

-

remove door hinge securing bolt and screw in appropriate pin in its place

-

tighten pin

-

soften paint around hinge area on body with a heat gun
