retract caliper piston into housing by rotating piston clockwise using 12 mm Allen wrench
CAUTION
With this procedure brake fluid is pushed into reservoir. To prevent overflowing, siphon some fluid out with an appliance which is used for this
purpose only.

install brake pads in carrier

install caliper to pad carrier using new selflocking bolt and torque to 35 N-m (26 ft.lbs.)

fasten hand brake cable to caliper

pump brake pedal 40 times (without vacuum assist) to reset rear caliper automatic adjustment
CAUTION
Always pump brake pedal before driving vehicle.
Do not run engine while resetting automatic adjustment. High hydraulic pressure created by vacuum assist booster could jam automatic adjustment
piston causing premature pad wear.
Parking brake cables, adjusting
CAUTION
Always adjust rear disc brakes by retracting caliper pistons and pumping the brake pedal (see Rear brake pads, replacing) before adjusting parking brake
cables.
The parking brake should only be adjusted if the rear calipers, brake pads, discs, or parking brake parts are replaced.
