Fuse Panel

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1410)

The fuse panel is located behind the storage compartment under the instrument panel.

CAUTION!
When disconnecting and connecting battery, the procedure must be followed as described in the Repair Information. Refer to => [
Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] See: Starting and Charging/Tools and Equipment/Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting. 

Removing:

-

Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

Remove the trim in the driver footwell.

-

Remove the screws - arrows - and pull the fuse panel -  1 - downward out of its bracket.

Installing:

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

-

First insert the fuse panel into the right side of the bracket. 

-

Then swivel the fuse panel upward into the left side and secure it with both screws.

Tightening specification: 2.5 Nm
