Teflon Seal on Fuel Injector, Replacing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Tool set (T10133)

‹› Teflon sealing ring must not be oiled.

Carefully remove the old Teflon seal with the appropriate tool (e.g. with cut the seal open with a razor and spread seal open with a small
screwdriver and pull it forward and off.) When doing this, make sure not to damage the groove and circumferential rib in the groove base.

Thoroughly clean fuel injector in area of sealing ring -  arrow -. Remove any deposits (coking) using a brass brush.

Clean sealing ring groove.

Insert a new sealing ring on to assembly cone ( T10133/5). Slide sealing ring as far as it will go on to assembly cone (T10133/5) using assembly
sleeve (T10133/6).
