Relay Carrier On Vehicle Electrical System Control Module (J519), Through 05.09

The left relay carrier on the vehicle electrical system control module -  arrow - is located under the instrument panel on the left side.

‹› The vehicle electrical system control module and the relay carrier on the vehicle electrical system control module on the left side of the instrument

panel are one component and cannot be separated.

‹› If vehicle electrical system control module or the relay carrier is to be replaced, the work procedure to read out the codes stored in the module

must always be performed, refer to => [ Vehicle Electrical System Control Module , Coding, Through 05.09 ] See: Testing and Inspection/Vehicle
Electrical System Control Module (J519), Coding, Through 05.09. 

Removing:

-

Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

Remove the fuse panel, refer to => [ Left E-Box In Engine Compartment ] See: Fuse Block/Service and Repair/Left E-Box In Engine
Compartment.

Slide connector securing latch - 1 - of the relay carrier on the vehicle electrical system control module in the - direction of the arrow -.

‹› The connectors of the relay carrier on the vehicle electrical system control module can only be disconnected when the securing latch is in the

OPEN position.

‹› The number of connectors and therefore relays depends on the vehicle equipment.
