Seal

‹› Always replace.

‹› Is included in replacement kit together with Torx bolts --> [ (Item 2) Torx bolts T30 ]  and  piston ring --> [ (Item 5) Piston ring ].

Piston ring

‹› Replace, refer to --> [ Piston Ring ] See: Overhaul.

‹› Is included in replacement kit together with Torx bolts --> [ (Item 2) Torx bolts T30 ]  and  gasket --> [ (Item 4) Seal ].

Air supply unit, lower part

‹› Torque wrench (VAG 1331)

Removing

-

Remove right underbody trim..

-

Disconnect intake line - 1 - at clutch.

-

Remove air lines - 2 - to - 6 - from  solenoid valve block. Disconnect air line - 7 - at clutch.
