Navigation System (GPS) Antenna -R50- & Radio/Telephone Antenna -R51-, Removing And Installing

NOTE:

Integrated antennas -R50- & -R51- with antenna cable is in right front fender above headlight assembly There are no serviceable antenna connections on
the antenna unit. Antenna cable connections are only accessible from behind the center console in the passenger's footwell area. As such, the entire
procedure to remove and install the antenna requires considerable effort.

Removing

CAUTION:

Before beginning repairs on the electrical system:

-

Switch off all electrical consumers.

-

Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.

-

Remove front passenger's seat

-

Remove front passenger's seat base

-

Remove center console

-

Remove lower instrument panel trim (only)

-

Remove right front wheel housing cover

-

Remove windshield washer fluid container from right fender

-

Remove right headlight assembly

-

Remove nut from antenna unit -arrow-.

-

Lift right front passenger's carpet and sound dampener up and fold over center console to driver's side.

NOTE:  As the driver's and front passenger's carpet section is one piece, the entire carpet cannot be removed during this procedure.
