Access/Start Control Module J518, Servicing

Access/Start Control Module J518, removing and installing

Removing:

CAUTION:  When disconnecting and reconnecting battery terminals, observe all applicable Notes and torque specifications, as well as instructions on
performing OBD program and electrical system function checks. Not adhering to proper disconnection sequence will result in deactivation of Main
Battery Switch -E74- and subsequent damage to electrical system components.

Disconnect battery.

-

Remove lower storage compartment on drivers side.

-

Push locking hooks of bracket outward - arrows B - and pull Access/Start Control Module J518 -1- behind bracket forward - arrow A -.

-

Pull/release retainer -1- in direction of - arrow A -.

-

Disconnect electrical connection -2- in direction of - arrow B

-

Disengage electrical connection -3- in direction of - arrow C -

-

Remove Access/Start Control Module J518 from bracket.

Installing:

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Tab -1- must first be inserted upward in guide.
