Remove engine wiring harness bracket from coolant pipe and set it to the rear.

‹› To improve clarity, the removed engine is shown from the rear.

Extract hydraulic oil for power steering from reservoir using old oil collecting and extracting device (VAG 1782). 

‹› Place a cloth under separating point to catch leaking hydraulic fluid.

Remove hose from power steering fluid reservoir - arrow -. 

‹› Place a cloth under separating point to catch leaking hydraulic fluid.

Remove bolts - 1 - and nut - 2 - and remove power steering supply pipe.

Remove bolt - 1 - and remove oil dipstick guide tube upward and out - arrow -.
