Remove bracket - 1 - to obtain better access.

-

Now remove Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor (G62) - 2 -.

‹› Place a cloth beneath to catch draining coolant.

Remove retaining clip and remove ECT sensor (G62).

Installing

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

‹› Replace O-ring.

‹› Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model.

Insert ECT sensor (G62) as quickly as possible so that coolant does not drain unnecessarily.

Ensure sensor retaining clip is seated securely.

Check coolant level, add as required. Refer to --> [ Check coolant level. ] See: Service and Repair/Procedures.
