Thermostat: Service and Repair
Map Controlled Engine Cooling Thermostat

Map Controlled Engine Cooling Thermostat

Removing

CAUTION!
Hot steam may escape when opening expansion tank. Wear protective  goggles and protective clothing to prevent damage to eyes and
scalding. Cover  cap with a cloth and open carefully.

Drain the cooling system. Refer to --> [ Cooling System, Draining and Filling ] See: Service and Repair/Procedures.

-

Separate the electrical connection - 2 - at map controlled engine cooling thermostat (F265).

-

Remove coolant hoses - 1 - and - 2 - from  coolant thermostat housing.

-

Remove the bolts - arrows -.

-

Remove map controlled engine cooling thermostat (F265) housing.

Installing

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the  following:

‹› Replace seals and O-rings.

‹› Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model.
