Pressure Relief Valve On Compressor, Checking

Excessive refrigerant outlet pressures are vented by the pressure relief valve with considerable force.

Should relief valve operate, stay clear of venting refrigerant and switch off engine.

Evidence of refrigerant oil in the area of the relief valve indicates valve has operated.
