Left Rear Coolant Pipes

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Hose clamp pliers (VAS 6340)

‹› Clamp pliers (VAS 6362)

Removing

-

Drain the cooling system. Refer to --> [ Cooling System, Draining and Filling ] See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Service and
Repair/Procedures.

Remove left primary catalytic converter. Refer to --> [ Left Primary Catalytic Converter ] See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Exhaust
System/Catalytic Converter/Service and Repair/Left Primary Catalytic Converter.

Extract hydraulic oil for power steering from reservoir using old oil collecting and extracting device (VAG 1782). 

‹› Place a cloth under separating point to catch leaking hydraulic fluid.

Remove hose clamp - arrow - and hose from power steering fluid reservoir.

-

Remove bolts - 1 - and nut - 2 - and remove power steering supply pipe.
