Sunroof with Solar Panel Function

All sunroof functions are available when the ignition is switched  on.

After the ignition is switched off, these functions are available  until the driver or passenger door is opened.

The opening of the solar panel of the sunroof can be preselected using  rotary knob. The panel trim is permanently attached to the solar panel and 
cannot be moved separately.

The sunroof is equipped with a closing force limiter in area of window.  When an obstruction is met during the closing sequence, the roof opens again 
by itself.

There is also an emergency closing function. If there are problems  closing, the sunroof can be closed manually by pressing the preselector, which 
must be in the "sunroof closed" position.

During emergency closing, pinch protection has increased pinch force. 

The sunroof drive motor is protected against overheating by a running  time limiter. The locking mechanism activates after an uninterrupted operation 
of approximately. two minutes. Operation can only be resumed after a cool-down  period.

If there is a malfunction in the electrical system, the sunroof motor  can be moved using a hex wrench. There is a hex key wrench fitted on the inside 
of the interior light trim for this purpose.

The solar cells - 1 - integrated in the sunroof solar  panel generate high voltage in sunlight. The DC voltage converter -  2 - also integrated in the solar
panel provides the blower with appropriately  regulated voltage. This functions only when the ignition is switched off and  the solar panel is tilted or
closed.
