Check the electrical harness connector for damage, corrosion, loose  or broken terminals.

Repair any damage found to the electrical harness connector.

If the electrical harness connector is not OK:

-

Repair the malfunction.

If the electrical harness connector is OK:

Checking wiring

If the manufacturers test box is being used. Perform the following  step.

Install the test box

If the manufacturers test box is not being used. Perform the following  step.

Remove the Transmission Control Module (TCM) (J217). Refer to --> [ Transmission Control Module, Replacing ] See: Control Module/Service
and Repair.

Using a multimeter, check the Multi-Function  Transmission Range (TR) Switch (F125) electrical harness  connector terminals to theTransmission
Control Module (TCM) (J217) electrical harness connector T52 terminals for an open  circuit.
