Fuel Gauge Sender: Service and Repair

Fuel Delivery Unit, Fuel Gauge Sensor and Suction Jet Pump

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Wrench (T10202)

Test conditions

‹› Fuel tank must be drained --> [ Fuel Tank, Emptying ] See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Tank/Service and

Repair/Procedures,

‹› Fuses - 13 - and - 14 - - arrow  - must be removed from their sockets. 

‹› Connectors and lines for right and left flanges have been disconnected. 

‹› Locking rings for right and left flanges have been removed.

Work procedure

Read safety precautions before beginning work --> [ Safety Precautions ] See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Service
Precautions/Safety Precautions. 

-

Disconnect connectors - 1 - and - 2 -,  as well as hose couplings - 3 - and - 4 - under  right flange.

-

Remove flange with pressure regulator.

-

Unclip black filler hose - arrow - from fuel delivery  unit housing on left and right sides of fuel tank.
