Connect battery ground (GND) strap.

Side Airbag Crash Sensors

‹› Removal and installation is described for the right-hand side of the  vehicle. Removal and installation for the left-hand side is performed in the 

same manner.

Removing

Remove belt anchor --> [ Belt Anchor ] See: Seat Belt Systems/Seat Belt/Service and Repair/Belt Anchor.

Remove front seat:

‹› Remove seat --> [ Front Seat ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Front Seats.

Remove seat base --> [ Seat Base ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Front Seats.

Remove floor covering in area of side crash sensors.

-

Remove the two bolts - 1 - (9 Nm).

Disconnect the wiring harness - 3 - from the crash  sensor - 2 -.
