‹› 2 M10 x 25 bolts

Removing

-

If necessary, expand holes in Counter hold (3145) to 10 mm diameter.

-

Remove rear final drive. Refer to --> [ Rear Final Drive ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear Final Drive.

Set rear final drive on a workbench.

-

Before loosening drive pinion nut, measure  friction torque.

-

Note this value. After the seal is replaced, friction torque must  be restored to this value.

Use friction meter (VAS 6222).

Remove driveshaft flange nut as follows:

-

Secure counter holder (3145) with 2  M10 x 25 bolts to driveshaft flange- arrows -.
