Introducing special Carter Carburetor repair tool US 5047. Replaces US 5041.
Minimum Requirement.

Due to a change in the warranty policy (reference Warranty Circular dated February 6, 1984) you are now required to repair and not replace carburetors
under warranty. In order to perform internal carburetor repairs, a special main jet T-Wrench (US 5047) is required.
A similar tool, US 5041, was introduced via tool circular dated March 19, 1982. This tool was improperly dimensioned at the time of introduction and
should be discarded.
All franchised Volkswagen dealers will receive special tool US 5047 free of charge.. US 5047 is considered minimum requirement and shipments will
begin during the month of March, 1984.
Extra tools or replacements may be ordered via teleprocessing after March 15, 1984.
