Fuel Pressure: Testing and Inspection
Fuel Delivery Rate Test
-
Disconnect fuel return line at pressure regulator and plug line.

Attach suitable hose to return line fitting on pressure regulator and place other end of hose in suitable calibrated container.

Remove relay C
-
Connect switched jumper wire tool No. US 4480/3 or equivalent, to terminals 30 and 87.

Turn jumper wire switch ON for 30 seconds.
Minimum delivery rate: 500 cc (16.9 oz) in 30 seconds
If Not, before replacing fuel pump:
Check that fuel filter is not blocked
Check that fuel pump ground connections are good
Check that voltage to pump is at least 11.5 volts
