Removal and Installion

REMOVING AND INSTALLING
1. Remove radiator cap located on the expansion tank.
2. Drain the coolant at the drain plugs on the bottom of the cylinder heads.
3. Remove the drive belt.
4. Disconnect all hoses at water pump and thermostat housing.
5. Remove the water pump and thermostat housing as an assembly.
6. Remove the water pump from the thermostat housing and clean the thermostat housing mating area.
7. Position the thermostat in it's housing and, using an new gasket, bolt the thermostat housing to the water pump.
8. Install the water pump/thermostat housing to vehicle.
9. Connect all coolant hoses and drive belt. Adjust belt to a 3/8 to 9/16 inch. deflection with thumb pressure.
