CO content is altitude dependent, refer to the following chart.
Example:

At 1600 meters (approx. 1 mile) CO should be 5% +/- .5%

with ignition switched off, disconnect oxygen sensor

CO content should correspond to chart according to elevation

re-connect oxygen sensor

CO content must read within specifications:

0.3 to 1.1%
