Synchronizer Ring: Description and Operation

Rings installed in Original Production

1st gear:
Brass ring
Molybdenum coated 3 x 6 teeth, without identification

2nd gear:
Brass ring
Molybdenum coated 3 x 8 teeth
Identification -- 3 notches

4th gear:
Brass ring
3 x 8 teeth
Identification -- 3 notches

3rd gear:
Special brass ring
Molybdenum coated teeth around entire outer surface

Spare Part Replacement

-

For all gears -- Install synchronizer ring which is supplied under Spare Part No: 091 311 295 A (standard production on 3rd gear)
