THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO THE U.S. AND CANADA
In order to obtain a good finish, galvanized (zinc-coated) sheet metal surfaces should be treated in the following manner prior to filling and painting.
NOTE:
It is not possible to grind off the zinc coating since the zinc permeates the sheet metal.
Method:
Sand surfaces surrounding damaged section(s).
1.
Apply primer to surface to ensure correct adhesion of filler.
Drying time:
10 minutes
2.
Apply filler (hardener is supplied with filler).
Drying time:
30 minutes if an 80~C (176~F) lamp is used, or overnight at room temperature. (It is not necessary to sand before using filler).
