Carefully clean contacts (# 2 in illustration) with a thin object (e.g. piano wire), making sure that the small "tongues" on the contacts are not bent out. If
they are bent out, bend back with care to obtain good contact with the contact pins.

Carefully scrape clean the contact pins (# 3 in illustration), using for example a small knife.

Lubricate contacts and contact pins with low-temperature grease p/n 1161417-9.

Reinstall in reverse order and verify function of all instruments.
