Attach piano wire to the handle on the outside and the counterhold on the inside of the car.
TWO PERSON OPERATION:
Hold counterhold as far away as possible in firm contact with the PUR bead on the inside of the windshield.
Use a smooth, gentle pulling action on the handle outside the car.
Pause and move the counterhold.
Keep the piano wire tight the whole time.
"Saw" past the corners. Take extra care at the roof edge trim.
Note
Take care to avoid damaging the interior and paintwork.
Attach suction cups on the windshield and lift away. Cut away surplus PUR adhesive on the body flange using a 13 mm (1/2") wide chisel.
Leave a bead of PUR approx. 1 mm (3/64") thick on the windshield flange.
Note
Never touch the old adhesive surface with your fingers as this will destroy its bonding properties.

Inspect the paintwork.
If the paintwork has been damaged, despite precautions, the defects must be painted over using touch-up paint.
Replace damaged or defective spacers and supports.
Locate the windshield supports as shown in the diagram.
