Replace the carbon canister as follows:
1.
Disconnect canister hoses.
2.
Loosen or cut retainer straps.
3.
Replace the carbon canister. Fig. 148.
4.
Tighten retaining straps (use new ones if necessary).
5.
Reconnect hoses.

The previous version carbon canister is no longer available. When replacing the old style canister (where it is mounted in the engine compartment), the
new style canister should be mounted under the left front fender as on current production models. To replace the old style canister, the parts needed for
this conversion are shown in Fig. 185.
