Temperature Sensor (Gauge): Service and Repair
Temperature sensor, replacement
Models up to and including 1986 are equipped with single- pole sensor, and models from 1987 on with two-pole sensor.
^ Disconnect battery ground lead.
^ Disconnect sensor lead or connector.
^ Unscrew sensor.
Note: Have new sensor or plug ready to install to avoid spilling large quantities of coolant.
