Remove:

glove compartment.

-

strip under outer vent. Bend carefully with a chisel.

Remove:

-

covers under steering wheel arm.

-

choke control.

Note:  Cars without choke control: remove choke cover washer.

Remove:

-

strip under outer vent.

-

rheostat knob for instrument lighting.

-

light switch knob. Leave switch where it is.
