Make sure that oil pan retaining clips are correctly positioned.

(Straight-edged clips in center and curved clips at corners)

Tightening torque 6 N-m (4.3 ft. lbs)

Torque oil filler tube union to 100 N-m (72 ft.lbs)
KICK-DOWN CABLE REPLACEMENT

Special Tool:

9995279-8

TO REMOVE:

Engage position N

Disconnect kick-down cable from throttle pulley

Use compressed air to remove dirt etc. from transmission gear case around cable prior to disconnecting cable retainer.

DETACH OIL PAN (SUMP) AND CLEAN IT

Return cam disc to original position and secure it with a screwdriver. Unhook cable and remove screwdriver.

Push out sheath with special tool 9995279 making sure that it grips correctly.
