N13: 1981-84 models

Grind down spacer tabs in housing to obtain correct fit for new motor. Some vehicles may also have the oblong sections (see previous figure) which will
also need to be ground down.

NOTE:

Clean as mentioned above.

N14: 1981-- vehicles are drilled in production.

N15: Mark wire locations on new fan switch connector. Disconnect connectors. Do not grind off a section of the plug. Pass the wires through the existing
hole in the top of the heater housing. Reconnect wires into plug.

N16: In contrast to earlier motors, the new heater motor is not mounted on plastic bushings.

N18: Secure the motor in position with three screws (P/N 955143-3)

NOTE:

Do not install washers

Insert wires and casing through hole in bottom of housing, which was drilled in step 14.

NOTE:

Take care not to kink or restrict wire's outer cover, since air for the fan motor ventilation flows through it.

N27: Follow the appropriate model year diagram found in this bulletin in conjunction with step N28 also found in this bulletin.
