- A service indicator lamp (Fig. 181.) on the instrument cluster is activated at 30,000 mile intervals. When the light is activated, Oxygen Sensor should
be replaced.

- To reset the service indicator lamp (after replacing sensor), locate the mileage counter. A small speedometer cable runs from the back of the
speedometer head to the black colored mileage counter, two red wires also go to the mileage counter from the back of instrument cluster. Remove the
small retaining screw holding reset button cover to the mileage counter. Press large brass reset button and listen for click. Restart engine to ensure
indicator lamp stays off. Reinstall reset button cover and screw.
NOTE: Many vehicles will have the mileage counter missing or disconnected, these vehicles should not require service indicator lamp resetting as the
indicator lamp will be inoperative. Reactivation of service indicator lamp system is optional.
