Exhaust Gas Recirculation........................................................................................................................................................................every 15,000 miles
-An indicator lamp will light every time the E.G.R. system is due for service (at 15,000 miles). Fig. 183.
- To clean the E.G.R. system, tap all parts lightly with a small mallet to remove carbon deposits.
- Remove dirt from channels and nipples with a screwdriver and blow parts clean with compressed air.
- Special care should be taken to ensure that valve seat in E.G.R. valve is free of carbon.

- To reset indicator lamp, locate the reset switch mounted on the back of speedometer. Remove retaining screw and switch cover. Press reset button (
Fig. 180a.). Ensure indicator lamp is off. Install switch cover.
