Be sure control pressure regulator is at ambient temperature, with electrical plug disconnected. Place gauge lever in the center position (position 2) at
right angles to the hoses. Operate fuel pump as outlined above. Check that the control pressure agrees with Fig. 6 or 7.

Insufficient control pressure indicates a faulty control regulator.

Excessive control pressure indicates a blocked control pressure regulator fuel return line or a faulty control regulator.

Reconnect the electrical plug to the control pressure regulator while pump is activated. After 3-5 minutes, control pressure should have risen to
44---50 psi. (3.5-3.9 kp/cm2).

If control pressure does not meet specifications check for voltage at the electrical plug while the fuel pump is running.
5.
If voltage is present, the control pressure regulator should be replaced.
6.
If no voltage is present, check the electrical circuit and relays as outlined under ``Fuel Pump Test.''
