Plug intake manifold nipple.

Disconnect the hose from the ignition system Electronic Control Unit at the intake manifold. Use the rubber plug to seal the intake manifold nipple.

Rubber plug:

P/N 418 646-6

Install delay valve. (Yellow)

Install delay valve in the now open end of the hose from ignition system Electronic Control Unit. Yellow end of delay valve, marked "DIST", should
face the Electronic Control Unit.

Connect one end of the 250 mm (10") long rubber hose (supplied in kit) to the delay valve and the T-nipple to the other end.

Cut the hose for the carbon canister control vacuum approx. 50 mm (2") from the throttle housing and install T-nipple.

Delay valve:

PIN 1 276 311-6 250 mm hose: (of P/N 948 958-4)

T-Nipple:

P/N 949 024-4

VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSION REQUIRE ADDITIONAL MODIFICATION AS FOLLOWS:

Switch ignition OFF.

Remove right side panel under instrument panel and kick panel in front of right side front door.
