The preset distance A between the plastic fitting and collar should be 3 +/- 0.5 mm. If outside this range, correct this adjustment first by holding the
plastic fitting while turning the hex nut.

Once distance A is correct, clutch cable adjustment is made by turning the hex nut again but without holding the plastic fitting.

NOTE:

While making the clutch cable adjustment, the plastic fitting should also turn with hex nut.

After final adjustment is made, recheck distance A, then install a 10 mm clamp as shown to ensure that the cable adjustment holds.
If subsequent adjustment is required, the 10 mm clamp must first be loosened before adjustment is made, and then resecured afterwards.
