PLUS DEVIATION: install adjusting shim(s) to obtain correct position.
MINUS DEVIATION: remove adjusting shim(s)
Try to set as near as possible to the specification.
EXAMPLE
+ 0.10 mm deviation: require 0.05 - 0.12 mm adjusting shim. Install an 0.08 mm adjusting shim.

0.10 mm: remove 0.08-0.15 mm
NOTE! 0.72 mm shim fitted on type 1030 axle 1.00 mm shim fitted on type 1031 axle
Add suitable number of thin spacer washers.
REFIT BEARING
REFIT PINION
Position pinion and compression sleeve. Press front bearing into position using wrench 2404. Remove wrench.
INSTALL SEAL
Install oil thrower. Lubricate seal and coil. Install seal using drift 2806.
