TAPE PLAYER INTERFERENCE
Interference from certain leads in the dashboard can affect the radio-cassette player's tape head, causing interference when playing tapes. The
interference can be remedied by re-routing certain leads near the radio-cassette player in the dashboard, moving the leads as far from the radio as
possible. This Service Bulletin only describes the re-routing of leads. For removal of panels etc, refer to appropriate section in Service Manual
(TP31120/1).
WARRANTY STATEMENT: Claims may be submitted during the New Car Limited Warranty when a manufacturing defect is present using claim type:

Preparation
PREPARATION FOR REMOVAL OF BATTERY LEAD
Important:
Note radio code.
REMOVAL OF BATTERY LEAD AND PANELS
Turn radio off.
Remove:
- battery negative lead
- left and right soundproofing panels
- left and right side panels from center console
- glove compartment
- heater control hoses from vacuum tank under heater
- vacuum tank
- knee bolster
- combined instrument and move as far as possible to one side.

Note:
To make the wiring more accessible, extra instruments and air vents with channels should be removed.
